Last night we headed out to Tansawa Tei in northbridge to celebrate James' 22nd Birthday. I always felt as if this boy was a whole year younger than me, but in actual fact, he's only 2 months younger than me! ahhhh how joyous it is to have a december birthday as you get older :D

But anyways, there were about 15 of us at Tansawa Tei and had a lovely time debating evilness and digging into Sean about his 40 year old chickie ;) The place itself had a nice ambience, and was nicely decorated. There were indoor fountain type things, cute little japanese ornaments and oriental fans, and a rather japanese feel to it.

The service itself was a little tricky to deal with - unfortunately, the waitresses were genuinely fresh off the boat japanese and hence, spoke and understood very very little english. It was so difficult to order drinks and to request bits and pieces when they didnt quite understand you.

The food itself was yummy, but none of us were particularly well fed - even the boys after a 6 course teppanyaki meal! I ended up starving after my sushi moriawase, nibbling on quan's teppanyaki mean (yes i eat a lot) and so Tram and I ended up getting dessert, and then going for dessert again later at Il Gelato's! hehe
But anyways, if you're looking for a nice japanese restaurant to try and don't mind small servings, head down to Tansawa Tei :)

Supa Dupa Girl-Kae is the eldest of three kae's and is therefore the supa dupa one of the lot (as given to me by Alvin). Currently residing in Perth, WA, Girl-Kae is a happy go lucky bubbly girl, who loves to shop, eat, and sleep. When she's not working, she can be found at home being a homebody, glued to the screen watching enormous amounts of drama series, out eating icecreams and cakes, and shopping till her heart's content.
