Howdy :) Following my little spiel on friday, I actually got a call back about 10 minutes after blogging to say that "I know we said we'd call you back on wednesday or thursday, but the interviewing panel and I were unanimously impressed with you today and would like to offer you the position straightaway".. so yes, now i can reveal what the last blog was about :) hehe In short, I had applied for a position that i completely forgot about, she loved my resume and cover letter, had a phone interview followed by a panel interview of 4 people and then about 2 hours after the interview, she told me I could have the job and they wouldnt be interviewing anyone else.. haha talk about morale and ego boosting eh :p

Anyways, in short, the position is a full time one in west perth for a national company (but the perth office has only about 20 people). As I am still in uni , I will be on a crappy pay but reviewed every three months and then after graduation, will move onto the more serious stuff.. but anyways, the reason why i wanted the position was not because of the position itself - there are heaps of jobs out there like this admin/HR assistant one, but because of the working environment, and the people.

Now, ive always dreaded the 9-5 drag of st george's terrace, because im easily influenced by others, and if they're stressed (as those very fast walking terrace people tend to be) I will too.. So i always said that I wanted to have a non-conventional job, or if I must have a conventional one, then at least let it be in a place away from the city, but still in a nice environment. Anyways, I will be working in West Perth , a stone's throw away from the yummy Black Tom's restaurant, and a little work from Subi. The office is nice, and the people even better. But of course, I may change my preconceived notions when i actually start.

Anyways, I'm going to be negotiating salary and flexitime this week, and having my contract drawn up on Tuesday.

But yes, Christine and Bryan, : I still want to go to Japan, and since JET is in august, I will still have the opportunity to work, apply for JET and if i dont like working, can always fly away to japan for that interesting adventure that i thrive for :)

Besides that... what else did i do ?

Last night, Quan and I braved the weather the have dinner at matsuri . As always, kae had her deliciously scrumptious and healthy "chirashi" , and tataki for entree. Quan tried the teriyaki fish, and for some reason they must've overdosed on the butter component in the recipe because the entire thing was tasting like butter - far removed from traditional teriyaki sauces. He actually wanted to throw up so we had to skip the dessert, skip chattering, and sat outside at QV1 whilst he regained his stomach :S

This morning I went to dimsum lunch at Golden Century with some of the chisholm boys + connie , trung, serene, sherlin and quan, and ate our little hearts out. This is the second time this week that i've had dimsum so im a little over the greasy meatiness of it all, and i've eaten out almost all of the week, so I'm muchly looking forward to good home cooked food.. *slurp*..

Anyways, I have to clean my room, wash my clothes and do all those little chores that i've been putting off for a week :P Bye bYE!

Supa Dupa Girl-Kae is the eldest of three kae's and is therefore the supa dupa one of the lot (as given to me by Alvin). Currently residing in Perth, WA, Girl-Kae is a happy go lucky bubbly girl, who loves to shop, eat, and sleep. When she's not working, she can be found at home being a homebody, glued to the screen watching enormous amounts of drama series, out eating icecreams and cakes, and shopping till her heart's content.
