I got the job! :D I spent the entire day today stressing, and ordering Bryan to go next door to the building next to his office and demand that they give me the job... but they didnt' call at all and I was starting to cry and get upset ;) But after I got home from work, I received a phone call offering me the position that I so desperately wanted *hurrah*.
Just looking back at my new years resolution, I had three career objectives 1. To move from the insurance industry into the mining industry (tick!) 2. To get a job that utilizes my brain (tick, i think!) 3. Get a payrise (tick!) ... so my three career resolutions have all been met. So far, so good :D
I will be handing in my resignation tomorrow, and hopefully they wont make me stay the full 4 week notice period :S Otherwise, I will have to act as professional as I can, and avoid any animosity :D *YAYYYY* I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY!
Weekend
I've also noticed that a lot of my recent blogs have to do with eating out.. hahah maybe i should masquerade as a food critic in my spare time.. *lightbulb* ... Anyways, on Saturday night, Quan and I went to D'Tandoor in Leederville for a night of Indian food. We had a table in their courtyard, and it was just perfect out there - the weather, the lighting, the lack of mozzies :D The food was yummy, but much too filling for two people, and if you dont' like chilli peoples, don't order Vindaloo! :D

And on the weekend.. I went to Ikea and after strolling casually past the kiddies section, I came across the coolest cutest thing I had seen in ages.. A TREASURE CHEST! haha.. having absolutely no need for such a thing, I spent approximately 5 minutes talking to myself (much to the shock of some random onlookers) trying to convince myself that I had "had" to have it.. and my lack of restraint and incredibly impulsive nature got the better of me...
I present to you ye old treasure chest :
