Shocked by the lack of "open-ripper-uppering" i proceeded to sort all the little parcels by receiver. Then I yelled at everyone to come open their presents, but alas! they pleasantly strolled down, a bit to my dismay and rather embarrassed, and somewhat greedy "present-opening-excitement"... but we finally ripped them open :D Anyways, amongst my Christmas haul, I got some new stuff for my bed (which I bought last month, and which has been without sheets for awhile)...

[ The pillow that my creative boyfriend made - Notice the "KC" sewn in! *phwoar* hehe]
Anyways, after the mandatory present opening morning, we headed off to Burswood Park for a lovely bbq/picnic with some family and friends. My cousin Valencia brought her gorgeous little son , whom I hadnt seen for about 3 months. He was soooooooo incredibly cute, and everyone wanted to kidnap him, but of course, being the good mommy that she is, she wouldnt let us ;) Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera, so I couldnt take piccies of the gorgeous little Garrick :D
After stuffing ourselves full of chocolates, meat and all things Christmas, we retreated home, and for dinner tonight, we made ourselves eat vegetarian food. hehe It's probably better for our poor digestive system which is still probably working in overdrive to processs the junk i've eaten this Christmas.
Besides that, the Christmas break has been filled with lots of house redecorating. Following my redecorating of my room last month, it has inspired my dad to repaint the entire house. Being bold and colourful, I suggested big bright colours like purple and greens. ehhe I started to slap the purple on the wall at the top of the stairs, and as soon as my dad saw it, he was utterly shocked. However, I think with the contrast of the green in the hallways and in my sister's room, he's starting to like it. We still have the bathrooms and toilets to do upstairs, and haven't even started on the downstairs area yet , so a long way to go. After this, my dad plans to pull up the carpet and put in wooden floorboards, but I think we'll have to wait till at least Easter for that when we're not working and able to spend time on it.
All in all, not the most relaxing Christmas break so far, but definitely an enjoyable one ;)
