Back already :) Unfortunately I am still on Sydney/NSW time so am waking up awfully early and falling asleep at crazy 7.30pm times! hehe.. but anyways, a quick photo-blog will make up for lack of blogging i think..
Between my crazy travel plans (12 hour journeys etc!!), I managed to sneak in a little bit of sydney time throughout my trip to the Blue Mountains. Overall, I found Sydney rather messy, dirty, chaotic and overall just ugly. Besides the harbour/coastal areas, Sydney to me was a rather poorly planned city, with modern high-rise apartment blocks built in the middle of old suburbs littered with dirty streets, and graffiti-d walls. The only thing that I enjoyed about Sydney was the variety of shops... Unfortunately I didnt' buy anything because I was too tired from lugging around my luggage and couldnt be bothered trying anything else.
The Blue Mountains however, were a story to write home about. I stayed at the
Peppers Fairmont Resort in Leura which is apparently home to the world's most beautiful golf course, and whilst I didnt play golf, the resort was stunning. Mornings and afternoon walks were greeted by beautifully fresh crisp air, fantastic townspeople, and stunning views...

I could get used to hotel life - buffet breakfasts, buffet lunch, dinners, room service, no cleaning... mmm

Echo Point Lookout over the Blue Mountains .. in particular, the Three Sisters rock formation

Useless freebies from the real reason I was there -
Caps, keyrings, thermos, post-it notes, pens, drink bottles, satchels, golf balls, stress balls, sports towel... all with their company's logos on them.. anyone want them?!!?!?
Katoomba Falls
And in other news, my trusty little hairdryer caught on fire... the insides completely fused out and little flames came out of the end. Because I haven't had time to buy a new hairdryer, I have been drying my hair by sitting in front of the heater for 20 minutes.. Funny how much we come to rely on things like that... :S
