I love weekends :p

On friday night Jez and I went to the David Jones Launch to see the new stuff coming into the stores this season, but we were rather disappointed. The show itself lacked the character and attitude that the Colonnade one exuded, and the models and clothes weren't that great. There were some "big name" models such as Sophie Ward, Rebecca Twigley, Amy Finlayson etc, but overall, jez and I thought that the models looked akward because they were too lanky, or walked weird, or had really bad posture, and some had shocking skin too :S There was one model that I thought was stunning though... :p The clothes - i didnt like that much. From memory, there was a pretty Rebecca Davies dress, and some interesting Simona stuff, but for a show with over 100 outfits, it was an awfully low percentage of *yay i like it items* :p

Anyways, last night we went to CC's 21st at Panorama on Terrace Rd. The view was amazing, and the function room was even more amazing. Situated as close as buildings could be to the river (next to the Hyatt Centre), the function room had a kitchen/cocktails area, a balcony, an amazing pool and spa area, as well as the big room with big screens and lounge chairs. Of course, it was much too cold for us to swim last night, but i took a pretty picture of the pool anyways :)

Well, errr basically the place was gorgeous :p Anyways, had a lot of fun mingling and catching up with everyone, and enjoyed the speeches, the cake, the food - basically it was a lovely night - except for one little booboo that night. It's rather embarassing but my dress err.. fell down... errr yess... well it didnt fall down fall down in the middle of talking to someone, but I was wearing a jacket, and I must've stepped on the tail end of the dress and pulled it down somehow (and the straps must've been loose) and then when I wanted to take the jacket off, I noticed that err, i was kinda half exposed :S Luckily I think only Thuy may have noticed but I ran out to the toilet to errr fix myself up.. hehe it could've been worse, so im glad it wasn't :p Anyways, a little picture of the girls (minus Thao cause she was cooking or something) :

After that, Jason got a call saying his girlfriend's apartment was on fire so being the busy bodies that we were, about 10 of us went to *check out* the fire. Of course, it was just a false alarm and we were a little amused at our silliness of having nothing to do after the party , so instead we headed to Fast Eddie's for some giggles, chit chat, and catch up :)

So yes.. today is sunday which means i have to finish off my assignment (due tomorrow) but i'm happy to have had a nice weekend so far :)
