Consecutive hog's breath days = fat. *hmm*
Anyways, today i got to catch up with a friend that I haven't really seen for ages and ages - the last time being at Loan & Ewen's engagement party. Anyways, Hao & I went to eat Hog's Breath but because I had steak yesterday, I decided on the yummy cheeseburger in paradise (dont you just love interesting names - sorta like all those names that Alannah Hill gives her clothes - puff the magic dragon cardi, or you're a duffer anyone? ehe). Anyways, we caught up (like we have been doing over email recently) and talked about whose going to win the footy (of course - we all know i'm a pretty anti west coast eagles person, so i tipped Sydney Swans to win and the last glance at the screen saw Swans up by 4 goals or so), and what has become of the people that he knew (and that I had gotten to know) in highschool.
It's interesting how lives change and takes you places. People I thought were destined for high paced stressful type jobs are now doing relaxing things like backpacking, people are getting married, people are making something of themselves, and people have moved away. I like that life is full of surprises - and I love that life throws at you, all kinds of people that have both the tiniest and the biggest influence on you, and I love that life is never what you expect it to be. At the same time, those surprises can throw you off track and make your life hell for awhile, but I like to think that the people thrown into your life will also be the people who will help make your life.
My work colleague and I recently discovered that our dads were junior school buddies, and that without the two of us, they would never have reconnected after thirty years of lost contact and lost time. That's what I mean - the people in your life are those that help make it :) So.. having rambled on many tangents, I have come to really appreciate those people that in their own little way, and I'm glad that you all did.
*wipes tear from eye* .
