Unless you've been living under a rock this weekend, you would know that the West Coast Eagles and the Sydney Swans in what could possibly be described as the biggest AFL Grand Final in history. With over 93 000 people at the MCG, it was such a brilliant sight to see masses of red/white fan blocks and blue/yellow fan blocks.

Trevor had a little AFL Grand Final Party at his house yesterday and we all went to watch the final on the big screen. Of course, being from Perth, the majority had their yellow and blue colours out - balloons, beanies, scarves, guernsey ... the lot. Being the little outsider that I am (yes proud to admit I am an Essendon Bombers supporter rather than a home crowder) , I wasnt that interested in who would win this year's final.

But, as the game went on, I found myself getting into the spirit of things (possibly falling into peer pressure) and barracking for the Eagles this instance - also because the Swans have a really boring and annoying way of playing - and I watched and cheered as they fought their way back from 20 points down at half time to a 10 point lead at three quarter... But as the fourth quarter battled on, we all felt victory slipping from our hands as the Swans came back.. the whole room was in gripped anticipation in the last 2 minutes, as there was always the chance that with 4 points to go, the Eagles would soar over the pack of Swans in a beautiful screamer, only to mark it as the siren went... and kick themselves to a victory of 2 points with a magnificent nailbiting goal..

but.. none of that happened. The room was silent, clara and trev were devastated, and Richard was on the verge of tears as the Swans went on to be the 109th AFL Grand Final winners

.. Oh well, another year come and gone..

Supa Dupa Girl-Kae is the eldest of three kae's and is therefore the supa dupa one of the lot (as given to me by Alvin). Currently residing in Perth, WA, Girl-Kae is a happy go lucky bubbly girl, who loves to shop, eat, and sleep. When she's not working, she can be found at home being a homebody, glued to the screen watching enormous amounts of drama series, out eating icecreams and cakes, and shopping till her heart's content.
